birds day 2

  1. Fantastic, Kaitlyn! You work so hard and produce fabulous slide decks. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could make New Zealand pest free. I have been to Tiritiri Matangi Island (a pest free island in Auckland) many times and it's mazing to see all the native birds that live there, because it is pest free. It's also beautiful to hear them all too, especially at dawn. Are you able to identify some birds by their call? That's mindfulness too - sitting and listening to bird calls.

  2. Tino Pai Rawa Kaitlyn, I agree it seems an impossible task to rid NZ of pests! You're correct they can just jump off the boats when they arrive here. We can certainly try to do our best and if everyone works together we can at least save some of the birds. I really like your picture of the Haast Eagle. I wonder what life would be like if it was still here? I also laughed and laughed at your jokes. The class will laugh at those tomorrow I'm sure!

  3. Morena Kaitlyn. You are doing so well on your slides. They are easy to read and look great! We have a rat trap at our place which catches the river rats. Rats, stoats and the other pests you have talked about are so clever, so us humans need to really step up and work harder to get rid of them. Did the class enjoy your jokes? I did!
